These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of websites, games, and related services provided by Worldthread Games ("Worldthread Games," "we," "us," or "our"), including Define That!. By accessing or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

Using Our Services

You may use our services only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes unless we expressly authorize otherwise. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and for your conduct while using the services.

If you are not legally able to enter into these Terms on your own, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to them on your behalf.

Accounts and Sign-In

Some features of Define That! require you to sign in using a supported account provider and create a player profile. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the account you use to sign in and for activity associated with your Worldthread Games profile.

Usernames and other profile information must comply with these Terms. We may reject, remove, or require changes to usernames or profile content that are misleading, unlawful, abusive, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate for the service.

Gameplay and Multiplayer

Define That! includes solo, competitive, and social gameplay features. Game results, rankings, records, statistics, matchmaking, word or definition determinations, scoring, timing, and other gameplay systems are controlled by the rules and systems made available within the game and may change as the game evolves.

You may not cheat, manipulate game state or results, exploit bugs, interfere with another player's use of the service, automate gameplay in an unauthorized manner, reverse engineer protected service behavior, or attempt to bypass security, integrity, or access controls.

Your Content and Contributions

You may provide information or content through the services, including usernames, definition responses, support messages, and other material you choose to submit. You retain any rights you may have in content you create.

By submitting content through the services, you give Worldthread Games a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, analyze, and improve the services. This license is limited to those purposes and does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

Do not submit content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, deceptive, infringing, malicious, or that violates another person's privacy or other rights.

Worldthread Games Content and Intellectual Property

The services, including our game design, software, code, graphics, logos, branding, rules presentation, interfaces, text, audio, visual elements, and other materials provided by Worldthread Games, are owned by or licensed to Worldthread Games and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the services for their intended purpose. Except as permitted by law, you may not copy, distribute, sell, license, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit our content or services without our permission.

Third-Party Services

Our services may rely on or link to third-party products and services, including sign-in providers, hosting providers, app stores, and other platforms. Your use of those third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and policies. Worldthread Games is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

Purchases and App Stores

If we offer paid features, subscriptions, or other purchases in the future, additional terms may apply. Purchases made through Google Play, the Apple App Store, or another distribution platform are also subject to that platform's payment, refund, and account rules.

Service Availability and Changes

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features or services as the game evolves. We do not guarantee that any feature, game mode, statistic, ranking, saved state, or service will always be available or remain unchanged.

We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, correct errors, reset or adjust affected data where reasonably necessary, and take other steps to protect the integrity, security, and operation of the services.

Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the services when reasonably necessary to address a violation of these Terms, abuse, cheating, security risk, unlawful activity, harm to other users, or harm to the services. You may stop using the services at any time.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not make warranties that the services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available, or that every word, definition, gameplay determination, ranking, or result will be free from error.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Worldthread Games and its owners, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of the services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid directly to Worldthread Games for the services during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100.

Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as our games, services, or legal requirements change. When we make a material update, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the services after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any dispute that is not otherwise resolved will be handled by a court of competent jurisdiction in Colorado, subject to any rights you may have under applicable law.
